Love Your Libraries: Free Showcase and Author Event!

Join Somerset Libraries and prominent authors as we premier four short engaging films which showcases the many services and activities available for free at Somerset libraries, and the impact that Somerset Libraries make to our communities.
These new films highlight how Somerset libraries can support you and your friends and family regarding health and wellbeing, looking for employment, entertaining young children and activities & services for teenagers.
We will also hear from three prominent authors, Chris Evans, C.L Taylor and Tim Weaver, who will discuss their work, their recent novels and the importance of reading for pleasure during the 2026 National Year of Reading.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet the authors whilst they sign copies of their books, which will be provided by the Snug Bookshop. You will also have a chance to play with some cutting edge tech, including virtual reality, a magic projector, and an activity tracker watch (which you can borrow for free from the libraries!)
